This is a comic duet based on the famous Thomas Hardy poem. Good comic timing from the singers is almost as crucial as good singing to pull off the effect. Performers are encouraged to ham it up and find the right tempo for each singer’s voice.

A great way to support new music is to perform the music you find here.
