The theme for the Cirlce Variations was written by composer/educator Anne Farber. The idea was to highlight the composers of the NYCC, as well as Alaria, the chamber music group in residence.
Ms. Farber provided a short theme for piano trio, and the composers of the NYCC were invited to write a short variation. The idea was that the many variations would be assembled together to provide a musical self-portrait of the NYCC.
This was my fourth draft of my variation.
